Started from Linkin Park, Gary convert to Islam

Started from talking about Linkin Park with woman from Indonesia, Gary William knew Islam and Koran. "Previously I was an agnostic as my family. So we were going to church only for wedding ceremony. A bit after I had deep conversation with Illona now I am Moslem," said Gary at his home in Bintaro.

Illona, now his wife, always made Gary curious about her belief. For Gary, Islam is religion with interesting material and ritual and as religion it makes sense. "Islam contains of all things. From nature until space. One year later I started to drink non-alcohol. After that I have learnt not to eat pork," Said Gary who join Mualaf Center in Jakarta.

He actually does not instantly believe in Mohammad's religion. He only thinking about god concept. " I am amazed with this Koran. And I believe this Koran is not made by human. because it is so accurate. I felt so weird when they said jesus was crucified. It doesn't make sense. I have doing research that jesus is only human not a god." said father with a son.

His experience and understanding has completed when he met his moslem friend named Hood. Hood brought Gary to Islamic Center to learn salat. "In that place, I have met so many moslem friends. He helped me after 8 months trying to understand Islam. I think Islam is good, not like the news they are talking"

Gary finally converted to Islam in early 2011. He is very lucky because Hood offering him to go to Makkah to do umra.
